About Ken

Born on June 6, 1933, in Porterville, California, Ken later resided in Compton, Lakewood, and finally Huntington Beach, California, for some 60 years (1963-present).

He was a loving husband to his wife, Sue, and a devoted father to Barry, Jeff, Randy, Pam, Diane, Eileen, Bill, and Dave. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Amber, Jennifer, James, Jonathan, Stacey, Nolan, Weston, Kaylee, Blake(s), Kailei, Michael, Kevin, Amanda, Shannon, Ryan, Carmel, and Lauryn.

Dad's journey also included a special time when married with Marjorie, the mother of Barry, Jeff, Randy and Pam and they have always remained close friends.

Ken had a long career in the aerospace industry as a graphic designer and technical illustrations manager. He was involved with the Gemini, Apollo, Shuttle Orbiter, Star Wars Defense Initiative, Space Station, and many other aerospace-related programs at North American Rockwell.

He was passionate about many things: art, flying (having been a licensed pilot for a short time), modern auto design, restoring his vintage cars, and educating himself through popular mechanics projects, home renovations, woodworking, and genealogy research. His MacGyver skills in fixing and upgrading things around the house were unmatched. He was also a kind, humble, and always helpful man who loved everyone and put others before himself, just as Jesus instructs in John 13:34...

I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.

He will be profoundly missed by his entire family and a life of great friends.

In Lieu of Flowers:  Donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in Kenneth's memory to support the mission to improve care and advance research toward a cure.

Goodby for now!
